PTE important modules for 65+ and 79+ tips and tricks

In this article, I am explaining to you the modules which are important to score 65+ and 79+ score in the PTE test.  You need to focus more on it to get the desired score.   But you must make proper study plan as this test need sufficient time for preparation.   Let us start which modules are important:

1)   Read Aloud: This is the most scoring module and it contributes approximately 35 marks to the reading section and the same marks to the speaking section. This is a very simple module.  You have to read the given text.  Then where is the problem?  Students do not take it seriously and do not practice this module and do not speak in the natural way.  Either speak too slow or too fast, unnecessary put pressure on every word.  So, you should not miss any word otherwise you cannot get a 79+ score. You should practice how to speak naturally, use intonation, and take pauses where it is necessary.  The position of microphone is very important in this section.  If you have not placed microphone properly, there might be a chance to get low score.

2)    Repeat sentence:  In this module, you will listen to the audio and you have to speak it the same as it is.  The students use templates for the practice of this module but only templates cannot give you good marks. It contributes around 30 marks in your listening and speaking section. In this section, Pearson gives 3 marks to content, 5 marks to fluency, and 5 marks to pronunciation.  If your pronunciation is decent, you will get full marks.  If you speak 50% of the words correctly, you will get 2/3 marks from the content. So, fluency matters more in this module. You should divide the sentence into small chunks and try to understand it rather than memorizing.  If you do not understand the whole sentence, speak at least 50% words of the audio definitely, you will get good marks.

3)   Reading fill-in-the-blanks: This section has two types of fill-in-the-blank, drag and drop fill in the blanks & fill in the blanks from the drop-down menu.  If sometimes, you are unable to find the correct word, you can make reading guesses

4)    Listening section: Fill in the blanks:  In this section, after listening to the audio, you have to fill in the missing words in the blanks.  It contributes 15 marks in the listening and writing section. To get a full score in the above two modules, you should follow the following tips:

ü  Try to Fill in the blanks within 1-2 minutes.  Avoid spending more time on that.

ü  Make sure you drop the correct word in the right blank.

ü Once you understand the meaning of the passage, there will not be any difficulty to find the proper word.  Carefully read the words before and after the blank to find the correct word.

ü  You should know the collocation of words i.e.; certain words go together just like a phrase.

ü You can eliminate those options that are nowhere close to the meaning of the word that should fit in the sentence. This way you will get the exact word to fill in the blanks.

5)   Write from dictation: This is also the scoring section, in which you will listen to a sentence from the audio, and you must understand it and write it the same as it is as.  To secure full marks in this module you should practice it and focus more on spelling.  To get a high score, you can take help from online resources.  These days many websites provide authentic material.

Hope this article helps you to score 65+ and 79+ in the PTE test.
